AviaTrix-RST Sealed MTM Speaker Kit Pair with Knock-Down Cabinets
The AviaTrix-RST MTM speaker kit is designed to deliver high performance, low distortion audio for both music and home theater applications. The AviaTrix-RST is well-known for its low frequency capabilities thanks to the dual 5-1/4" aluminum cone high excursion woofers. With an extremely smooth midrange response and natural high frequencies, the AviaTrix-RST is capable of high output without being fatiguing, making it perfect for long listening sessions with music or movies.
The drivers for the AviaTrix-RST were chosen for their output, low distortion, and bass response capabilities. Dayton Audio's ND140-8 handles the bass and lower midrange frequencies. The ND140-8 features an efficient, low-distortion Neo-Balanced motor that is combined with a rigid yet lightweight aluminum diaphragm, yielding impressive high-impact audio reproduction. The popular Dayton Audio RST28F-4 was chosen for the upper frequencies. This unique 1-1/8" silk dome tweeter features a state-of-the-art Ferrofluid cooled motor system employing copper shorting rings to ensure that high frequency content is reproduced as transparently as possible, assuring studio-quality performance.
The solid 1/2" MDF enclosure panels are all CNC milled to tight tolerances ensuring easy assembly. The finished enclosure includes a center brace tying all sides together minimizing cabinet resonances. Recesses for flush mounting the drivers are pre-cut making assembly a snap.
This kit includes nearly everything you need to build a pair of top-notch speakers in no time flat, including: knock-down enclosures, drivers, damping material, binding posts, and crossover components.
