The M-Series have long been adored by users across virtually all market segments, from audio engineers to DJs, casual home listeners to serious audiophiles, and just about everyone in between. The ATH-M50x headphones build on the excellent reputation garnered by the original ATH-M50 model, keeping the same legendary sonic signature as the original, and now adding even more comfortable earpads and three (3) interchangeable cables.

Audio-Technica's sophisticated driver technology and superior components deliver exceptional power handling and very high SPL capabilities while maintaining clarity of sound throughout their extended range, with deep, accurate bass and outstanding high-frequency extension. The headphones feature proprietary large-aperture drivers with neodymium magnet systems for ultra-efficient signal transfer.

Designed specifically for professional monitoring and mixing, these studiophones feature an efficient collapsible design for space-saving portability and storage with the included protective carrying pouch. The adjustable headband is generously padded for ultimate comfort during long mixing sessions. Circumaural ear pieces swivel 90° for easy one-ear monitoring, and improved, luxuriously padded ear cushions create an outstanding seal for maximum isolation, even in noisy environments.

Another new feature is the removeable cable system on the ATH-M50x. Three interchangeable cables are included: a 1.2 to 3 meter coiled cable; a 3 meter straight cable; and a 1.2 meter straight cable, perfect for use on the go. All cables feature 3.5 mm termination, and a screw-on 1/4" adapter included for your convenience.
