JBL CSS-H15 15 Watt Paging HornThe Commercial Solutions Series CSS-H15 paging horn provides excellent voice range clarity for public address systems, announcement/paging, intercom, security, alarm and industrial applications.
Typical applications for this product include public access areas, warehouses, factories, schools, recreational facilities, commercial buildings, distribution centers, civic centers, and protective-signaling systems.
The CSS-H15 includes a UL-registered 15 watt multi-tap transformer for use with 70V or 100V distributed speaker lines. The tap switch is screwdriver adjustable for easily changing settings from 15, 7.5, 3.8, 1.9 watts (and 0.9 watts at 70V only). For conventional amplifiers, there is an 8 ohm bypass position. Connection is made via bare wire on a built-in jacketed cable with a watertight entrance to the speaker.
The transducer diaphragm is sturdy phenpolic to enhance durability, particularly in outdoor applications, and to resist deformation under challenging temperature conditions. Reliability is further increased by a built-in 350 Hz high pass filter to protect the horn against damage from frequencies below the operational frequency band. Constructed from sturdy ABS plastic and corrosion-resistant stainless steel exterior hardware, the CSS-H15 includes a stainless steel mounting bracket.
Constant Voltage (70-Volt) Audio Systems
Audio distribution systems, especially those commonly used in department stores, warehouses, restaurants, etc., require that many loudspeakers be driven from a single audio amplifier over long runs of speaker wire. The "constant voltage" or "high impedance distribution" audio systems can be complex to understand at first, however, provides many advantages. Learn how to design your own 70-volt or 25-volt loudspeaker system.
