Old school handmade artisanship that can only be acquired from 70+ years of mastering one's craft, drivers that are matched to within 0.1 dB of each other, and a tradition that each headphone has that award-winning Grado sound. All Prestige headphones have newly designed super annealed copper cables for improved purity of the audio signal and are now housed in a more durable, flexible exterior. A thick leather headband provides a comfier listening experience compared to other headphones.
The SR80x has upgraded de-stressed driver, when compared to the SR60x, and a new more durable housing that is less affected by transient distortion by the way it directs air and reacts to sound vibrations. A durable 4-conductor cable improves control and stability of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum with both better supporting Grado's world renowned midrange.
