Overview

Dayton Audio TPD-520 Trigger USB-C PD Output Voltage Controller

Turn Your Smartphone PD Charger into a 5 to 20 VDC Power Supply

This board is a highly cost-effective voltage trigger that controls your PD charger's output to match 5 different voltages (5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V). The trigger has built-in USB PD protocol, supporting PD3.0/2.0, BC1.2 and other fast charging methods. It has a PD communication module which enables it to increase voltage to power various types electrical equipment, such as wireless charger, electric toothbrushes, small amplifier and preamplifier boards, rechargeable shaver, electric tools with lithium batteries and so on. It doesn't support QC technology which usually has a USB-A port.

To select the correct voltage output, hold the button down on the board for 3 seconds and an LED will start flashing. If one LED flashes it's set for 5 VDC. To change the voltage output, push the button while the LED is flashing until the desired voltage LED is flashing. Wait 3 seconds and the voltage is set and the LEDs will stop flashing and you'll get a solid LED next to the desired voltage. If all the LEDs are flashing, it'll be set for 20 VDC when the flashing stops.
