Indexed Cone and Surround Junction

Diffraction caused by the abrupt edge of the surround is minimized by the use of an indexed junction. Vented Polyimide Former with CCA Voice Coil Wire and Elevated Spider Suspension

The polyimide voice coil formers provide excellent mechanical damping and a smoother frequency response, and the copper-clad aluminum (CCA) wire reduces moving mass further enhancing the overall sound quality and increasing the efficiency of the speaker driver. An elevated spider and vented former increases airflow to the coils to keep the assembly running cool during long periods of use.
