Dayton Audio BS31 31" Stereo Speaker Bar Black

The Dayton Audio BS31 speaker bar is designed to deliver bookshelf speaker sound, in a compact speaker bar configuration. A significant advantage of the BS31, compared to its speaker bar competition, is bass extension which resembles a pair of 5-1/4" woofers, not the pair of space-saving 3-1/2" full-range drivers in the BS31. Your friends will be looking for the subwoofer when this diminutive, all-purpose speaker is used on its own for front, rear or secondary room placement.

When used with a medium to high powered 100 watts per channel stereo receiver , the Dayton Audio BS31 plays louder with better bass and overall sound quality than the proliferation of anemically powered speaker bars found at the "Big Box" stores. Installation is simple; just like a pair of bookshelf or satellite speakers. Simply plug in the left and right front-channel speaker wires from the receiver to the left and right push button terminals on the BS31.

When used with a 5.1 or 7.1 AV surround receiver for the LCR front channels, wire the left and right front-channels of the AV receiver to the left and right front channels on the BS31 speaker bar. Next, set the subwoofer crossover to 80 Hz if a sub is used, or 60 Hz if no sub is used. Then, set the AV receiver center-channel setting to None. The receiver will then digitally create a center-channel.
