The Celestion FTR18-4080FD 18" pro woofer features a rigid, yet acoustically optimized cast aluminum frame and a specially treated and weather-resistant cone. Its 1,000 watt RMS power rating is achieved largely by the use of a  4" high temperature Inside/Outside voice coil that efficiently dissipates heat and prevents sensitivity loss through thermal compression. Extensive venting through the frame and motor structure also improves reliability. The FTR18-4080FD's exclusive Flexirol™ surround and double suspension guarantee exceptional linearity, even at the highest excursions.
