The CF1840JD 18" woofer, from Celestion's flagship CF Series, features an advanced, FEA optimized motor for maximum output and symmetrical cone movement, which results in low harmonic distortion. The pole piece also includes two demodulation rings for low electromagnetic distortion and low inductance.

With a 4" inside/outside wound fiberglass voice coil and Balanced Airflow Venting for enhanced heat dissipation, this driver can handle a whopping 1200 watts RMS while practically eliminating thermal compression. Cone movement in kept linear by a multi roll surround and twin spider suspension. With 10 mm of xmax this driver can move impressive amounts of air for fantastic bass response. The lightweight rigid Kevlar loaded paper cone ensures tight, accurate, and extremely efficient response.
