The 3" titanium diaphragm is optimized to deliver natural response from 500 to 18,000 Hz. The extremely strong neodymium motor includes a copper cap to ensure low distortion even when pushed to its limit.

For high output midrange and high frequency response, the powerful DE985TN 2" exit compression driver from B&C Speakers will deliver unbeatable reliability and extreme SPL. The large 3" diaphragm in has been completely redesigned to incorporate a bent edge voice coil former, new dome and surround geometry, and an optimized phase plug. These modifications combine to better control diaphragm displacement and deformations, resulting in lower distortion and a smoother higher frequency response above 10kHz. The powerful FEA optimized neodymium motor assembly keeps size and weight to a minimum without sacrificing overall efficiency and output capability. In addition, the pole piece includes a large copper cap to minimize inductance, improving high frequency response and keeping distortion as low as possible. The DE985TN is a powerful driver that will fit in with any high efficiency system designs.
