TOGGLER AF8 5/16" Flanged Solid-Wall Anchors 100 Pcs.

TOGGLER® ALLIGATOR® solid-wall anchors are the only anchors that extrude up to the entire length of a screw. The screw extrudes and compresses the anchor polymer into the wall of the hole. The anchor molds and conforms exactly to the surface of the hole—without chemicals. All forces supported by the screw are transmitted outwardly 360° to the wall surface of the hole. This provides greater holding power by distributing the force over the maximum area possible in concrete, brick, cinder block, wood, plaster, drywall, and stucco materials.

ALLIGATOR anchors are useful for mounting awnings, telephone equipment, hand rails, lighting fixtures, and digital satellite dishes. Anti-rotation fins prevent the screw from spinning for screw gun use. Hollow walls and unexpected cavities don't present a problem as the ALLIGATOR anchor is opened by the screw for secure anchoring, locking the screw thread into the teeth of the anchor to resist vibration and shock. AF8 solid-wall anchors are designed to work with a 5/16" drill bit. The ultimate tensile load has been rated at 3,083 lbs. in 4,000 psi concrete and 85 lbs. in 1/2" drywall. Ultimate shear strength is rated at 171 lbs. in 1/2" drywall. Industry safety standards recommend 1/4 of the ultimate load per anchor. AF8 anchors work with screw sizes #8 to 5/16". Package includes 100 AF8 anchors. Note: A 2" deep hole must be drilled into material for proper product use. Screws not included.
