PRV Audio D270Ph-S 1" Phenolic Compression Driver 8 Ohm 1-3/8"-18 TPI

Based on the design of PRV Audio's D250Ph-S, the D270Ph-S 1" compact compression driver was built to fulfill the demand in the market. The small diameter of the driver provides front mounting without detaching the driver from the horn, making it effortless to install into tight spaces. The high-temperature copper wire used for the voice coil is wound on a Kapton former to withstand high operating temperatures. The old replacement diaphragm RPD250Ph still fits the D270Ph-S driver. The nearly-indestructible phenolic diaphragm can play down to 500 Hz and resists the elements, making it ideal for outdoor use.

Designed to reproduce the all-important vocal range with authority, the D270Ph-S is an excellent pick for high power public address (PA) systems, small venues, and gymnasiums. Car audio SPL enthusiasts regularly utilize this driver for vocal reinforcement on high output 3-way systems.
