The projects are endless for this low voltage mono audio amplifier board. Make your own amplified mini speaker powered by 5 VDC. Use the USB port on your computer to make your own computer speaker. Use two boards to create amplified stereo speakers with separate volume controls for each channel. These are all plug in options that you can use with USB power, or an old cellphone power adapter laying around the house.

Now let's talk about battery operated projects. The NJM386D mono audio amplifier board draws only 3 mA. This enables you to use 9 volt, small 12 volt, or four 1.5 volt batteries to power your next audio project without draining the battery in less than an hour. Use this amp board to design your own digital musical box, battery powered speaker, or battery powered sound effects box. To reduce voltage gain to 26 dB and decrease THD, remove JP1 jumper.
