Twist Lock DC Coaxial Plug & Barrel Power Jack Connector Set 2.5 x 5.5mm

Use this locking DC coax set for your next project to prevent power interruptions. Plug and twist action is the quickest way to lock-in a DC plug from unintentionally coming out. The 2.5 x 5.5 mm jack will still accept none locking plugs the same size, but you take the chance of it coming back out like other non-locking sets.

Note: DC Plug cap requires extra torque to screw off. Use needle nose plyers to aid in screwing the cap off by clamping to the metal ring at the back of the plug. Do not clamp onto the plug or locking flanges.

The DC coax jack comes with deep 1/3" long threads and has a built-in switch to disconnect other internal power sources when a DC plug is inserted. The deep threads enable you to mount the jack into 1/4" panels and the built-in switch cuts out the internal power when a 2.5 x 5.5" plug is inserted to prevent power from going to non-rechargeable batteries. The two smaller (-) terminals (tip positive circuit) on the DC jack separate when a 2.1 x 5.5 mm plug is inserted.
